Coach Certification
"The CoachNet coaching certification program has proven to be both an effective and efficient plan for significantly raising the quality of our coaching of ministry leaders. Its comprehensive approach is unmatched. I highly recommend it!" - Dr. Mickey Noel, Christian & Missionary Alliance, Church Multiplication Ministries
"CoachNet's certification process ... is one which is grounded in scripture and solid relational principles. The clarification of the differences between coaching and consulting are extremely helpful. I would recommend this process for judicatory leaders who are serious about improving the potential health of their new church starts." - Dr. Mont Duncan, Executive Director of New Church Development, Florida Annual Conference, The United Methodist Church
"CoachNet has developed a powerful and reproducible process for coach training that we are implementing within the Reformed Church in America. Coach certification provides a proven way to mobilize and multiply high quality coaches. By raising a core of competent coaches, we can then equip them for specialized applications such as church planting, leadership development, and Natural Church Development. I highly recommend CoachNet's coach certification for any denomination that wants to cultivate a coaching culture throughout their movement." - Ken Eriks, Coordinator for Revitalization, Reformed Church in America
Coaching
"Hi ... my name is Darren Adwalpalker. I am the pastor of the South Bay Church of God in Torrance, CA. I participated in the Coaches Training in Orlando in May 2006. This coaching paradigm has changed my view of life and ministry.
I attended the conference just one month before starting in my position as senior pastor. Being young and a new senior pastor of an established church held many challenges for me. I lead a staff of eight people, an elder board, trustees, as well as the Spanish congregation at our church. So, I have a lot of people reporting to me—each bringing their toughest challenges and problems for me to 'solve.' Since learning about coaching, my posture is different.
Rather than feeling like I have to give them the solution, I am able to ask questions to help clarify the situation and then ask them how they plan to solve it. It has taken a tremendous weight off of me and has actually empowered them to solve their own issues.
In my individual meetings with staff members, I practice a coaching paradigm, which has led to incredible success and efficiency with those I work with. They identify the challenges and they propose the solutions. When that happens, they are much more involved and are motivated to solve it themselves.
..
I am so grateful for the opportunity to take part in the Coaches Training Initiative. I had no idea it would be this impacting for my ministry and me. This has helped to make my work as senior pastor a joy rather than a burden. I feel free to lead, love, and listen to those around me, rather than defensive or protective.
Darren Adwalpalker"
