Leadership Development

At CoachNet, we hear way too often that churches are suffering because of a leadership vacuum. It's not that churches don't have leadership development processes, it's that we start too late and end too early.

Think about it like this: every new convert is a worker...immediately. A new believer makes a commitment to Jesus, THEN an Intentional Leadership Pathway is designed to take an individual on a journey of "becoming a disciple and making disciples". First step is moving on to a meaningful engagement in a ministry reflecting God's unique gifting and calling on their lives. Remember that for some, this will mean being in leadership roles.

A local ministry context will be the calling for some, others will feel compelled to become a pastor, a church planter or some other kind of full-time leader. Closing the circle of raising up leaders from the harvest for the harvest provides a much more extensive harvest--far beyond the shadow of just one ministry.

Sustainable leadership development is not an "one-size-fits-all" approach. Today, leadership development must be a continuous, lifelong process rather than a single discrete event. It must be tailored to the needs of the individual and outworked in a local context.

So, ask the question that's on your mind: How?

Intentional relationship is the key...and it's even better if that intentional relationship is one with a purpose. Coaching relationships provide structure and accountability to facilitate change. You might think of coaching as the backbone of leadership development.

CoachNet Global can come alongside as you gather, develop, and coach new leaders. Looking for more information? Check out the links below.
