Christian Coaches--Make your voices heard in the ICF Coaching Study.
An Open Letter from CoachNet CEO Jonathan Reitz
The world of coaching is changing. I've been coaching for just short of 15 years. During that time, the field of coaching has gone from a tiny community to one of the fastest growing professional fields in the world today. The skill set coaches use are in demand in the church, in non-profits, and in the wider business world.
Because of that growth, the International Coach Federation (ICF) is facilitating a survey/study of coaches in a number of fields around the world. The ICF is the leading coach certification group worldwide, and in my opinion, has recently embraced a new openness to faith-based coaching. That's only my opinion, but it's an opinion that's shared by a number of other leaders in the coaching world.
I'd like to ask a favor of you: would you, as a faith-based coach, would you make your voice heard in the ICF's 2011 Global Coaching Study. To quote from the ICF's July Member Update, by participating in the study:
"You can help bring the global landscape of coaching in 2011 into clear focus. The data collected through the survey will directly lead to the creation of a robust "state of the industry" report that will provide coaches, organizations and the media with an opportunity to learn more about today's coaching industry.
Independent research firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is conducting the study in nine languages; all of which are now available at www.coachingstudy2011.com (including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish).
In addition to being offered in multiple languages, the online survey has also been developed for mobile technology allowing you to conveniently complete the survey on popular smart phones and tablet computers in addition to your desktop or laptop computer.
To date, responses have been received from more than 80 countries—already exceeding the level of national participation seen in the original 2006 ICF Global Coaching Study."
This is a great opportunity for faith-based Christian Coaches to speak into the future of the coaching world. Please join me in completing the 2011 ICF Globa Coaching Study. Here's the link again: www.coachingstudy2011.com.
Thanks for your partnership! And blessings on your work!
