Who's Praying for You?
A friend of mine sent out a prayer request recently that started "To my praying friends..." That got me wondering about who's supporting people who are doing kingdom work?
Who's praying for you? How do you know? My friend taught an important lesson with that greeting: people are far more likely to pray for you if 1) you already have a relationship with them and 2) you ask them to pray. I'd even go so far as to say that it makes a difference if you ask them to
pry pray for specific things.
(NOTE: I just realized that I mis-typed "pray" with "pry" in the line about specific prayer requests. You might think about trusting our friends to pray for specifics is God prying our concerns out of our tightly-held hands. Sometimes that's exactly what it is!)
So, who do you know that you could ask to pray for you? About what, specifically?
