Specific is Always Better--or At Least More Effective

One of most important functions of coach is to help a leader identify next steps.  When you're moving forward, specific is always better.  The more focused your coaching next step can be, the higher the likelihood that you'll make progress.

To paraphrase the Chesire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, "If you don't have an idea of where you want to end up, then any road will do."  Specific wins every time.
